Target Market Strategy

A big part of making a business and having it last is knowing who you are going to serve. Knowing your taget market of your business will help the business stay up and running. "A target market consists of a set of buyers who share common needs or characteristics that the company decides to serve. Market targeting can be carried out at several different levels." (Marketing: An Introduction for Eduaction Management 10th Edition, Armstrong Kotler, page 186). Deciding on who is your target market can be based on many different catergories such as age, family size, income, religion, and other status'. Also the needs and wants of the customers is another part of determining who you will serve. " Even when marketers first define segments using other bases, such as benefits sought or behavior, they must know segment demographic characteristics in order to assess the size of the target market and to reach it efficiently." (Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management 10th Edition, Armstrong Kotler, page 177). Most of the time to make a business successful you need to target to more than just one kind of market of customers. There a very few companies that are doing well with the one category of customers that they serve and build their business around. "The company identifies different ways to segment the market and develops profiles of the resulting market segments.Market targeting (or targeting) consists of evaluating each market segment’s attractiveness and selecting one or more market segments to enter." (Marketing: An Introduction for Education Manangement 10th Edition, Armstrong Kotler, page 175). My main target market will be business people and/or students who have lunch breaks which are always a small amount of time. Also be for anyone who wants a quick meal such as families with kids who are walking around and traveling. It will be for about anyone with an income because the prices are not going to be high but also not to low so that I'm not making a profit. We will go almost anywhere such as big corporate businesses and even small ones who want to have a meal of food that they can get during their lunch break. Even can go to college campus and maybe even high schools if they would like to offer their students something different and healthy. Meals on a Stick will serve all busy people who are on the go with a quick service and great quality food while getting everything out on time to keep everything running smoothly.
