Business Mission Statement

A mission statement is important for any kind of business to come up with because it helps the employees working there on how to serve and treat the customers when they come to buy at that business. Also gives customers a preview on how their experience will be when going to the business. "A mission statement is a statement of the organization’s purpose—what it wants to accomplish in the larger environment. A clear mission statement acts as an “invisible hand” that guides people in the organization." (Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation 10th Edition, Armstrong Kotler, page 39). For my food truck which is called Meals on a Stick will serve customers quality food with happy and friendly employees that know the customer is who's important and comes first. Customers will have a great tasting meal that they can enjoy anywhere that they desire to go. A mission statement isn't suppose to be just about what your selling but more about the customer needs. "But mission statements should be market oriented and defined in terms of satisfying basic customer needs. Products and technologies eventually become outdated, but basic market needs may last forever." (Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation 10th Edition, Armstrong Kotler, page 40). So the mission statement for my Meals on a Stick food truck will be, "Meals on a Stick will deliver great quality food with a quick and speedy service to people who want a fast meal that they can take along with them in their hand. We will take care of every customer with a happy and friendly attidude. Also have a nice and clean welcome invite when every customer comes to our truck."
